END OF APRIL UPDATES

The project has started to lift up with two interviews being completed & with a further two in swing.

With Thursday the 19th being the interview with Ange Hardy & the 23rd being the interview with Simon Emmett, both day's had their problems - if it be travel, location or interview wise in editing but both of them are workable for my project & it's given the project a really good start.

Today, Tuesday the 24th, I visited Hestercombe gardens on where they allowed me to wonder around to do a location reeace, this gave me chance to know what area's are quiet for sound, where less visitors go - and where possible shooting could take place. The interview is to take place at the end of the month on the 30th at Hestercombe Gardens at 11.

THE GARDENS

With the gardens being the largest attraction it seems to be the busiest however it is rather quiet dispute it being the busiest part, it's also such a big space that with a quiet day like today, not many people will be run into the interview. It is also the most visually pleasing shot and would look amazing for the interview.

Prior to filming her doing her art, I found a small building, it's rather open but could work for a quick filming session and once again would work perfect for filming!

I next found this rather deserted bench, in a open space so any visitor would be way aware we are there, & at the same time it wouldn't ruin their visit.

The down side is it's not the most visually pleasing shot.

There where plenty of places else where that would work really well too but this building although it's right next to the garden provides a really nice shot for both the interview and to showcase her work & her in action.

The building would also be perfect for the interview as mentioned if the weather does turn bad.

Other open spaces such as up on the hills provided a great view & very quiet too

With many places for filming to take place, I've emailed over some images to Phillipa the artist Im interviewing to give her opinion as although im the filmmaker, there is so much to explore here that I wouldn't want to miss on something that she may suggest.

A huge factor towards this shoot date is the weather, since the main location we have access to for a long period of time is the gardens, weather is needing to be good, as of now it keeps changing from sun to rain back to clouds with sun etc.

UPDATE: Weather the day before -

Further interviews are still in the process of being finalised, Im currently in talk with a organiser from Taunton Live & Go-Create where we have started to sort a date for the 8th before a event she runs called creative club where I hope to later film that evening to show what she does & how she runs things.
