PRE-PRODUCTION TV SHOW
This journal contains all the pre-production that we have taken out & will take out during the project, showing the planning process from the start to end.
PRE-PRODUCTION
''Work done on a product, especially a film or broadcast programme, before full-scale production begins''
PURPOSE
A Live TV Show called The Directors Cut, is the show that invites local & international filmmakers to come onto the show & talk about a selected film that they want to share further into the community, the audience gets a further in look into the meaning & the director’s cut of their film.
Our TV show will involve a 10-minute interview, with a filmmaker about their chosen film to where we understand an insight into what filmmaking is like for them as professionals, and how their film was produced & why it’s been successful. The 5-minute pre-recorded video between will include showcasing students work, splitting the main interview into two halves’.
WHO & WHY? (CONTACTS)
During the pre-production, I took on the role of researching possible directors who could come onto the show, I finalized a few contacts down to a few that I would contact, in the hope for some replies.
To this I received a few replies but most people concerned with the travel distance, dispute this one contact called Rob seem really interested along as costs for travel could be covered, with him being only in Bristol - as a group we decided to opt to pay for his travel.
We have now sorted a date and our interview has said the dates are perfectly fine with his schedule.
