PROJECT

Audience research is a major element for any media producer and it is critical that a TV show understands its audience. Individually you must research existing Live TV shows videos to identify key codes and conventions they can apply. You should look for similar TV shows and draw ideas from them that could be included in the final show. Individually you will also conduct primary quantitative and qualitative on the shows audience. The main audience for this show will be the arts students, so you will need to conduct focus groups and questionnaires with them to help shape and justify your decisions for the final show. Finally you will produce a presentation to pitch your ideas for the TV show based upon the audience research. The presentation will be pitched to the group so they can decide upon the best approach or elements that should be included in the final show. A relaxed live pitch is preferred; however you may prerecord your pitch but will be required to take questions afterwards.
