THE FILM LOCATIONS
''A filming location is a place where some or all of a film or television series is produced, in addition to or instead of using sets constructed on a movie studio back lot or sound stage. In film making, a location is anyplace where a film crew will be filming actors and recording their dialog''
THE LOCATIONS & WHO?
Both Alan Bec & Alex & Triv are Bristol based, a prime location for business, Alan Bec is a strategic consultancy partner to leaders and organisations in transformation at Reality Check Consultancy, also apart of the RSA/Inventor of the WIB - he has been my main contact throughout this who project & will continue to be. With Bristol being a prime location for people, it opens up alot of filming opportunities & locations, where the city to Alan Bec office is the perfect place.
Alex & Triv live not far from the city, being within reach for a interview, with their house being a perfect spot, allows a more personal connection to them & to follow the path of how he moves around & using the WIB to help him in his life.
THE LOCATION (COLOURS, ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES ETC)
The location involved hitting the city of Bristol, and heading towards a more local quiet area to where we would spend the day filming, when pre-planning a date, we made sure to check the weather on what would contrast the colours into our production, the day wasn't looking sunny, really sunny and from that planning we set on our shoot day for that day, since the filming would take place both outside & inside, the bright sunlight would give a really happy & lively tone to what we wanted, it would also create some really nice stand alone shots, the disadvantages was only the heat, it was going to be hot and carrying around lots of camera equipment during that time, isnt the best thing to do.

Meera however lives in London & although this is a great place, the interview will simply take place via a service called Zoom (Online video chat), where I can access any place, anywhere with a wifi connection. In this case I simply interview Meera via being at my house.

THINGS I HAD TO CONSIDER LIGHTING - is the biggest thing to consider for any film, as I will be filming in both outdoor and indoor locations. I need to make sure that the interview shots work in the lighting and that will directly focus on the clients face while they talks, the lighting needs to be good enough so not much shadow is on them and their face is well lit up, during production on other locations I have planned to use mostly natural light. WEATHER (NOSE/PICTURE) - Is another thing to consider, if we were recording outside I would need to make sure the weather is good including no rain or wind, this will allow the audio quality to crisp and clear (No wind) and the video quality clean because no rain will get onto the lens. Roads, playgrounds or other loud surrounding areas are another thing to consider in terms of audio, this may be the case that external audio sources may need to be used. TRANSPORTING OF EQUIPMENT – At the very start of production, both myself & the client talked about transporting, since there is multiple locations, some being a hour away, it was agreed that the client would be happy to pay for my travel, if that's catching a train or driving up. This was very important because you want to be able to transport your equipment safely to and from your filming location & know how much you can transport to certain locations. FOOD/WATER - Depending on the time and location, food & water is something I will consider, if I’m working with a team or alone, I must be able to keep myself-motivated to work and full up with energy on working times, so either bringing food with or making sure there are local shops near will help, this is something that comes into pre-production however I mostly will bring food along with me, COMMUNICATION - Is important for any film shoot, if this is for calling in for more equipment or more crew or if you’ve finished the shoot and someone needs picking up from the location, making sure my phone has signal in the area is important for whatever reason it may be, if something goes wrong on shoot and someone is badly hurt I will need to make sure phone signal is working. It's also useful to have multiple contacts routes to your client, without this you won't know when to meet, where to meet if something goes from. EMERGENCY - On the top of emergency, I will also make sure my location has resources on location to help anyone who is hurt; this could be water, a plaster or whatever else I will need. INSURANCE OR PERMISSIONS – Having permission to film on location is important, without them you may have no right to use the footage that you take there, working under this client will allow me all the rights to the chosen locations, however again these will be doubled checked over to make sure & if permission forms are needed they will be added.
