SCHEDULE SCRIPTS & BUDGETS

This blog post is all about schedule, script & film budget, from showing what makes a good schedule, to what makes good scripts & budgets it's all in this post. I have also included professional examples below & then my own personal schedule. scripts & budget that is in place.

WHAT IS A SCHEDULE?

A channel called Film Riot, did a great job on explaining ''How to Plan a Movie Shoot! - Script Breakdowns, Schedules and Budgets'' - By researching into this it's allowed me to take more into consideration what I need to do in my planning.

A channel called Rocket Jump Film School also did a great video directly on budgeting that I found helpful & also gave alot of information on generally producing a film.

Indy Mogul by far however was one of the most useful video's to understand the process in documentary making, he explains everything from start to finish.

SCRIPT

Creating some form of script or questions is very important not only to have something ready & to know what you want to ask & find out but also to give a clear direction of the story line & how you want the final production to come out, questions can always be added or changed to improve the answers from the client overtime.

As of creating the script, I only wanted to create a few, some simple quick questions but not only that but It would help with how each client answers and can answer, I didnt want anything to confusing for them with their ill health, so simple questions and less questions seemed the way, but to a point that got us all our answers.

BUDGET

Having a budget came in handy because coming towards the filming dates, it allowed me to understand how I was getting to a location or where money had to be spent in order to make this project work, in this case I needed a budget for travel & then a budget for extra equipment, having a timetable keeping all this information also allowed me to keep track of whats happening, and where the money is for that section. For a project like this it was a very small budget as other things such as meeting with the client where local.
